About me
Gill LaRocque has worked in education for almost twenty five years with the last five years being in Alternative Provision. The majority of her career has focused on inspiring young people through her passion for English Literature but a chance encounter whilst on an Equality & Diversity in Leadership course highlighted the lack of diversity in senior leadership and she has since focused on being part of the change. In 2020, Gill joined The Difference Leadership programme which afforded her the opportunity to work at The Limes College PRU in Sutton. In June 2021, she was nominated for the Positive Role Model award at the National Diversity Awards and in April 2023 she was awarded The Inspirational Educator Award for Alternative Education, presented by The Worshipful Company of Educators. In September 2023, Gill joined Saffron Valley Collegiate as Headteacher where her work in AP continues.
